Simulations Overview

Objective: Gain an understanding of Simulations in Brightly Predictor Desktop.

Simulations are a combination of User-defined data, models and strategies. The simulation will run mathematical algorithms against the configured model to predict the asset network behavior and the resultant outcomes. Effectively the role of the simulation is to look at an asset stock and its respective service criteria, and run those assets through the treatment logic using the assigned financial strategy and treatment costs. Once completed for year 1, the model will degrade all assets that have not been treated in year 1 to reflect their actual life cycle behavior and continue this forward for the duration of your financial strategy, thereby simulating how these assets would be predicted to behave as a result of the decision logic and available capital funds. Predictor allows for multiple simulations using different combinations. The simulation results can be analysed individually or can be compared with the results of other simulations for the decision making process. All Simulations are based on the currently selected template, and once configured are published to the Predictor Web App where the outcomes can be reviewed.
