Asset Essentials Data Import Process
Objective: Gain an understanding of how to use Asset Essentials integration in order to use it as a Data Import source in Brightly Predictor.
When importing Data into Predictor, users can select Asset Essentials as the data source.

Once Asset Essentials is selected as the data provider, users will be presented with an Asset Essentials login details section.

Here users can enter the integration URL for their Asset Essentials, and then populate the username and password and click 'Login' to authenticate. If successful, the Asset Essentials Search Results and filtering section will be shown.

Once authenticated, the Asset Essential search results can be previewed using the 'Preview Sample' button. A list of which fields are extracted from Asset Essentials for use in Predictor is included at the bottom of this page.

Users can then build filters by clicking in the 'Edit Filter...' section of the search results, in order to refine the imported data appropriately. The list of fields which can be filtered against is included at the bottom of this page.

Once the filters have been built, they can be applied to search results using the 'Apply Filter' button.

Once users are satisfied with their filtering, they can click 'Ok' to proceed to the next step in the Data Import process, where the imported data is previewed.

From here, the import follows the standard Mappings and Scalings process as outlined in the Import Data article.
