Assets Missing Opening Balance
Whilst running a Financial Reconciliation Report or viewing an asset, users might see an error message as below:
This means an asset is missing an opening balance: an asset has been acquired in a previous financial year, but does not have any values or beginning balances.
All assets where the Opening Balance is missing need to be addressed as the system will not generate accurate financial reports.
To check how many assets are missing Opening Balance and in which asset categories, run the 'Asset Missing Opening Balance' report from the Reports menu.
Users can choose to continue generating report by neglecting this error message.
Doing these may generate an inaccurate report.
