Education Buildings/Education Buildings Functional Spaces - Utilisation Assessment

Utilisation tab is currently available in Education buildings and Education Building Functional Spaces categories. 

 

It allows organizations to record observed data and then calculate the building/space occupancy and utilization that shows how well the building/space in a building has been used.

 

Utilisation data belongs to myData MD list type data that can be used for trend analysis over time.

  • Audited Room Frequency: Audited Room Frequency is the number of hours the room is in use during the audit period, divided by the number of hours that the room is available for use during the audited period.
  • Booked Room Frequency:  Booked Room Frequency is the number of hours the room is booked to be used during the audit period, divided by the number of hours that the room is available for use during the audited period.
  • Room Occupancy: Room Occupancy represents the average number of students in the room when the room is in use, compared to the total room capacity. Room Occupancy is independent of Room Frequency.
  • Room Utilisation: Utilisation combines Room Occupancy and Room Frequency data to give an indication of the how the room is being used.
  • Usage Index: This is an organisation developed index to describe the level of utilisation.
